Hi I'm Lorelie and I'm passionate about empowering women and people of all ages to discover the joy of movement, music, and the freedom of letting go.

My classes are taught in a fun and supportive environment and provide an opportunity to learn the basics, practice new movements, and explore the amazing benefits of bellydance.  I offer individual classes, group classes, and workshops, so whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, there's something for everyone!

Discovering Bellydance

I was hooked immediatley in that first bellydance class with Riskallah Riyad. The music was mesmerizing, the coin belts were cool and the veils so beautiful. Turns out I was very lucky that the  teacher in this particular class was among the top middle eastern dancers, choreographers and instructors from the early 1980's and beyond. Riskallah Riyad was and is wondefully "old school" yet modern at the same time.

You can read about Riskallah Riyad at her website. I'm proud to say that everything I've learned I garnered from her and through her many workshops.

Within a few years of studying with Riskallah and attending class three times a week I became one of the lead dancers and soloist for The Riskallah Riyad Dance Theatre Company.  I was fortunate to have made appearances in countless shows, festivals and private parties through her and her mentorship. She also provided many workshops with top notch credentials such as the late Mahmoud Reda of Egypt, Elena Lentini of NYC, the late Marta Zorina of the Russian Ballet, Egypt's Karim Nagi, Egyptian dance artist Mohamed Shahin and more …

In 2022 after 20 years of studying performing and teaching for Riskallah Riyad my husband and I  moved to Southwest Florida where I'm continuing to share Riskallah Riyad's choreography and the sheer joy of bellydance with my students.

Currently I have two locations. My home studio in Deep Creek Punta Gorda and Heart and Sole Dance Center in Port Charlotte. Go to the Classes page to sign up and begin your bellydance journey.
